However this protection needs to be visually attractive to those inside as well as a powerful deterrent against attack by criminals viewing from the outside. To enable this we offer a low cost range of galvanised expanded decorative sheets suitable for this purpose. As they are galvanised to prevent corrosion they can be used internally or externally.
Expanded metal is manufactured by cutting and stretching while still leaving it attached at the knuckle. This allows it to retain its shape when cut and cannot separate or fray. Often cutting to size is the only fabrication needed. It has excellent corrosion resistance when suitably coated, and the uncut knuckles support weight and withstand stress better than welded mesh. Egara and Lipsia have been designed to be both attractive and very strong.
